Want an epoxy floor that looks smooth, shines bright, and holds up for years? It all starts with proper installation. At Amazing Epoxy, we don’t cut corners — we follow a professional process to make sure your floor is not only beautiful, but built to last.

Here’s how it’s done, step by step.

Step 1: Surface Evaluation

We begin by assessing the condition of your existing concrete. Any cracks, moisture issues, or uneven spots are flagged early so we can prepare accordingly.

Step 2: Cleaning & Degreasing

The floor is thoroughly cleaned to remove oil, dust, and dirt using degreasers and pressure washing. A clean surface is critical for epoxy to properly bond.

Step 3: Grinding the Surface

We use industrial-grade grinders to open up the concrete’s pores, helping the epoxy soak in and bond at the molecular level. This step also levels out any surface inconsistencies.

Step 4: Crack Repair (If Needed)

Any visible cracks or surface damage is treated with high-strength epoxy or polyurethane fillers, then sanded smooth to ensure a flawless finish.

Step 5: Primer Application

We apply a primer coat — the base layer that ensures even absorption and maximizes adhesion for the layers to come.

Step 6: Epoxy Layering

This is where the transformation happens. We apply the chosen epoxy type (solid, flake, metallic, etc.) in even coats. Decorative flakes or pigments are added if selected.

Step 7: Topcoat & Sealing

Finally, a clear topcoat is applied to seal, protect, and enhance the surface. Additives like anti-slip grit or UV protectant can be mixed in, depending on your needs.

Curing Time

After installation, the floor needs time to cure (usually 24–72 hours depending on the system). We’ll advise exactly when it’s safe to walk and drive on.

Final Thoughts

Installing epoxy flooring is more than just pouring resin — it’s about precision and prep. Every layer, every detail, matters.

At Amazing Epoxy, our process ensures that your floor doesn’t just look good on Day 1 — it keeps performing for years.
